Marrakech

Your Grand South of Morocco tour begins with an early morning departure towards the High Atlas and the Tichka Pass (2260 m). Next, you head to the beautiful site of Télouet, from where you join the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou via the ancient caravan route. Lunch and visit to this UNESCO World Heritage site. You continue your journey to Ouarzazate. Dinner at the hotel.

MARRAKECH - KASBAH AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE

Departure for the Dadès Valley and its ribbon of oases nestled in the mountains, a setting of "a thousand kasbahs" surrounded by poplars and rose gardens: Skoura, El-Kelaâ M’Gouna, Boumalne du Dadès. From there, the desert slopes of the mountain encroach on its ribbon of greenery. But the river carves its way through thick limestone blocks, creating vertiginous walls: these are the Dadès Gorges. Lunch in the village of Boumalne du Dadès and departure for the Todgha Gorges, about fifteen kilometers from the village of Tineghir, at the end of a valley dotted with palm groves and Berber villages. The Todra Gorges are among the most beautiful natural sites in the country. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse located at the foot of the gorges.

OUARZAZATE - GORGES DU DADÈS - GORGES DU TODGHA

Breakfast, followed by a visit to the Todgha Gorges. You will be deeply impressed by this massive fault, 300 meters high at its narrowest point, with a crystal-clear river flowing at its base. It separates the High Atlas from the Djebel Saghro. Next, you head south towards the desert. You stop in Rissani, renowned for its date market and built near the ruins of the legendary Sijilmassa. After lunch, you take a sandy track to reach Merzouga. There, you are invited to a camel ride before admiring the sunset over the dunes and enjoying traditional mint tea. Dinner around a campfire, accompanied by nomadic songs. Overnight at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

GORGES DU TODGHA - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA - ERG CHEBBI

An early morning wake-up to witness the sunrise. Then breakfast and departure for the crossing of Tafilalet and the vast mineral expanse of the Bougafer massif to reach Alnif and Tazzarine. After lunch, you continue your journey to N'kob, and then through the beautiful Draa Valley, arriving at the Agdz oasis. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in the palm grove.

ERG CHEBBI - ALNIF- TAZZARINE - AGDZ

An early morning departure towards Marrakech, traveling through the Anti-Atlas "Black Mountain" to Ouarzazate, then continuing to Marrakech via the Tichka Pass.

AGDZ - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

Your day is dedicated to exploring Marrakech. In the morning, you can discover some of Marrakech's jewels, such as the Menara Gardens and the Koutoubia Mosque (12th century), known as the "Mosque of the Booksellers" due to its location near the old manuscript market, where you can also find the Saadian Tombs from the 16th century dynasty. The afternoon will be spent in the Medina, the historical heart of the city, where you can stroll through the famous Jemaa El Fna square (recognized as a UNESCO Oral Heritage site) and explore its vibrant souqs filled with tanners, dyers, blacksmiths, leather craftsmen, and spice merchants.
